This Wednesday I am working on getting organized.
Doesn't sound all that fun does it?!
I think it is safe to say that I am not the most organized person you will ever meet. This year I am wanting going to change that. On Sunday, I went to church with my friends in North Carolina and one thing the pastor said that was repeated by us girls the whole weekend was, "everything has a place, and everything should be in its place." Although the service was not referring to my organization, or lack thereof, those words are stuck in my head.
So, I am going to take those words and use them to motivate me to get organized!...{and be still and know that just because life might be hard and you feel discouraged doesn't mean God isn't working in your life and has a plan. That was the main message behind those words!!}
Recently I have made some changes and purchased a couple things to help make organization easier.
First up, I purchased a large {and adorable} three ring binder and small sketch pad to keep my ideas and my LBF orders neat, safe and together.
Second, I started using a calender. That's right. After 9 months I finally started using the calender on my phone. Why my phone calender?! Because my phone is always with me. {makes sense, right?!} I can't always talk or I don't always have my volume on, but it is the most convenient way for me to check something.
Next, I'm trying to make lists daily. Something I always find discouraging about daily lists are that you don't always get everything done on your list. Instead of feeling like I have to cross everything off that day, I need to remind myself that it's OK if a couple of those tasks end up at the beginning of tomorrow's list.
The only thing left on this list from today - plan something special for Stanlee's birthday tomorrow!
Are you staying organized so far this year?! Maybe we can encourage each other ;)
