Front Page of Etsy

Sunday night I was laying in bed with my computer and decided to log in to Facebook.  As soon as I logged in, I saw that one of my blog friends tagged me in a post saying congratulations for being on the front page of Etsy right now!  I pulled up Etsy and sure enough, I see Stanlee staring straight at me in my grey and white dog bow-tie!

I was so thrilled that I woke my husband up and said in a high pitch voice that my grey and white bow-tie was on the front page of Etsy, which was followed by a few squeals and weird happy noises.

It was exciting to see Stanlee on the front page.  He caught the eye of fellow Etsians which resulted in a few inbox messages saying how cute they thought my pup was.  One person even said, "It's like he knows he looks good in this photo!"
I completely agree.

I have never been included in a treasury that made it to the front page of Etsy {at least not that I knew of until now} and it was a really fun experience.  I have always been the overly excited type about little things, and this was definitely one of those moments.

Five Favorites: Etsy Treasuries

Recently I have been included in some pretty amazing treasuries I wanted to share with you all! In case you are unfamiliar with Etsy treasuries, it's a collection of 16 Etsy listings that relate to a specific theme chosen by the curator.

A treasury can be created by any Etsy memeber and it can be very time consuming searching for the perfect items. I have created two treasuries in the past and I remember spending at least an hour on each one. They are carefully thought out and if your treasury is unique and well organized, it can appear on the front page (eek!) of Etsy for all of the shoppers to see that day! That's a big deal for the curator and the shops featured in the treasury! So, if you have an Etsy shop and someone includes your handmade or vintage item in their treasury, be sure to thank them for choosing you!

Here are five of my favorite treasuries I was featured in recently:

Five Favorites: Treasury Love

The past couple weeks, Little Blue Feather has been included in some pretty amazing etsy treasuries.  If you are unfamiliar with etsy treasuries, it's sixteen items (or less) of hand picked favorites by etsy members that create a gallery of items with a connected theme.  It is always so much fun when you hear that someone hand picked you to be a part of their collection!  Check out some of these wonderful treasuries featuring LBF in the past couple weeks :)

{Inspiration Workshop #8} - My Inspiration: Color

Recently I have felt Inspired by color.   Yellow, dirty lime green and orange are some of my current favorites.  Today I did a little fabric shopping for new pillows and found some beautiful printed fabrics that incorporated at least one of these citrus colors.  This week I also created a treasury on etsy showcasing some items in this color scheme.  Aren't these colors just lovely!?

Lovely Little Cottage

Whenever I think of a cottage, whether it be a french cottage, country cottage or beach cottage, I always think of a cozy and well lit home with shabby chic style.  There is something calming and romantic about a cottage that makes it so lovely.  The best thing, you do not have to live on the coast or tucked away in a small village in london to enjoy the look of a shabby chic home.

You might ask, what exactly is "shabby chic"?
Shabby chic is an interior design style where items and furniture show a sign of age or distress, making it appear old or vintage.  Soft, floral designs are usually paired with the aged look adding a romantic feminine look; the chic part.

Yesterday on etsy, I put together my first treasury called Lovely Little Cottage.  Treasuries are a great way to find items with a specific color scheme or style that have been hand picked by others on etsy.  It is also a great way to feature people and their product that you love.  It is a wonderful feeling knowing someone hand picked you to be a part of their treasury!
