Obsessing over: LBF Studios coming together. I now have my overhead light installed, my chalk wall painted, another little desk for additional table space and a rearranged floor plan. I walk into my sewing room everyday and feel so happy. Soon I will give you all a little virtual tour of LBF Studios!
Working on: Making a lot of new inventory for the Christmas shopping season. Did I just say Christmas? I believe so. I am a firm believer in celebrating holidays as they come, and not getting too ahead of the times. I have a hard time getting excited for Christmas when this beautiful fall weather is here and we still have Halloween and Thanksgiving to think about. However, I do have some really fun fabrics that will be turned into dog bow-ties, a new bow felt collar accessory and new kid shirts coming soon to my shop! I will keep you posted. Also, word is you can see a fabric sneak peek on my Facebook page today!
Thinking about: How quickly time is going by. I am a little bit of a sensitive soul, and an emotionally driven personality type. Recently I have found myself often thinking about how quickly time goes by, how quickly little ones grow up and how you really have to make the most of every day.
Anticipating: The month of October! Ahh, I can't wait for all of the fun things I have planned this month! I think October 1 should be a holiday because it is the best month of the year.
Listening to: The new Mumford & Sons cd titled Babel. My favorite M&S lyrics will always be, "In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die. Where you invest your love, you invest your life."
Eating/Drinking: One of my current favorite sandwiches is egg whites, provolone, tomato (with salt and pepper sprinkled on top) and avocado on nutty oat bread. Although pumpkin spice lattes are a favorite of the season, one of husband's employees turned me on to a nonfat marble mocha macchiato. It is delicious and not overpowered by the mocha, which I enjoy.
Wishing: Stanlee and Miley didn't have allergy issues. Stanlee starts his allergy injections today, and I feel so bad for his little anxious personality having to get shots every four-five days over the next month and a half. Today I have to drop him off and he will stay at the vet all day to make sure he doesn't have a reaction to his first injection.
It's like dropping your kid off at school for the first time.
No? A little too much?
Any pup mommas out there feel me?
Happy Monday.
Happy October.

"Did I just say Christmas?"
I laughed when I read this because I said pretty much the same thing on my blog today! It's 85 days until Christmas, and already the stores are flooded with holiday stuff!
Good luck to Stanlee today! I know exactly what you mean about being nervous dropping him off at the vet! Fingers crossed that all goes well! :)
@Christina Berry
I know! I saw Christmas lights at Target yesterday and I was like...now wait a second! 85 days, huh. Hm, that sounds soon. Too soon.
Thanks too about Stanlee. I'm sensitive when it comes to him. He is so sweet and scared of a lot of things so I feel bad when I know he is going to be taken out of his comfort zone and be pricked with needles. I can't wait to pick him up later today!
Poor Stanlee, I hope all went well at the vet.
I love the new fabrics for Christmas! Can't wait to see the finished product.
Your studio looks amazing!!!! I'm so excited for a tour :) You look gorgeous, friend! Happy fall!

Thanks Natalie! You're so sweet. Sometimes I see a picture of my hair down and makeup and I'm like...Who is that?! I've fallen into a legging, t-shirt, hair up and very little makeup kind of slump. Hopefully I will take studio tour photos this weekend :)
@jillian at faith that laughs.
I am so glad I finally painted it! At Home Depot, I bought a couple little chalk cans by the specialty paints and stencil aisle that can be tinted to your choice of color from like 15 options?. Pink, green, purple, tan, grey (which is what I did) black, white, etc. It's so fun!
